| |

So far if you have flown to Poland, you have probably landed either at Okecie Airport (Warsaw Frederic Chopin Airport) or at Krakow-Balice Airport (John Paul II International Airport) which are considered to be the busiest and the most modern airports in the country. Nowadays the situation has changed dramatically. Following Poland’s entry into the European Union, low-budget airlines started operating in different parts of Poland. Consequently, the cities which are as attractive to tourists as Warsaw or Cracow can offer direct flights. Lodz, the second largest city of Poland, is one of them.

flights to lodzRyanair, the largest low-budget airline in Europe, was the first to enter the Polish market. This Irish airline started operating in Lodz in October, 2005. The first flight on offer was from Lodz Wladyslaw Reymont Airport to London Stansted. Since then they have expanded their offer and it is possible to fly with Ryanair from Lodz to the United Kingdom (London Stansted and Nottingham) and to Ireland (Dublin, Shannon).
